Public Review and Comment Regarding conducting the Adams County 2012 Primary Election by Mail Ballot

In accordance with C.R.S. 1-7.5-105(1.5)(b), Adams County Clerk and Recorder, Karen Long, invites the public to comment on the proposal of conducting the 2012 primary Election by mail ballot. Colorado law allows for primary elections to be conducted as mail ballot elections, but before making such determination, your comments will be taken into consideration.

In C.R.S. 1-7.5-102 the legislative declaration reads: “The general assembly hereby finds, determines, and declares that self-government by election is more legitimate and better accepted as voter participation increases. By enacting this article, the general assembly hereby concludes that it is appropriate to provide for mail ballot elections under specified circumstances.”

For your convenience, comments on conducting an all mail ballot primary may be sent to the Adams County Clerk and Recorder via mail, fax or e-mail.
