Pursuant to C.R.S. 30 10 306, after each federal census of the United States, each County Commissioner District shall be established, revised or altered to assure that such districts shall be as equal or nearly equal in population and compact as possible based on such census.
In accordance with C.R.S. 30-10-306, a public hearing was held on August 24, 2011 where four alternatives and public testimony was presented. On Wednesday, Sept.28, 2011, the Board of County Commissioners adopted the district boundaries map which became effective immediately.
The four alternative County Commissioner District Maps were placed on the county website and published in local newspapers. The formal public comment period ended on September 21, 2011. View resolution and maps.
