Golden – Today, Congressman Ed Perlmutter released the following statement in recognition of the 9th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and at the Pentagon:
“Today, I want to take a moment to remember all of our family, friends and fellow Americans who lost their lives in the horrific terrorist attacks on our country nine years ago.
I also take the opportunity to pay respects and honor our brave emergency and first responders who sacrificed so much for us on Sept. 11, 2001, and who are courageously fighting the fires even today in Boulder County.
Every day they put the safety and security of our neighborhoods and country first, and for that I want to say thank you.
Sept. 11 was an unimaginable tragedy for all of our country, but we did what we do best in America – we all came together, to help our neighbors, our communities, and our country recover and heal and become a stronger, more unified nation.
I am so proud of all of the brave men and women serving and protecting our country both at home and abroad. Thank you for your courage and your service.”
